I'm so excited for Christmas this year. Alison is still not old enough this year to get it but I'm still excited. We got her some cool toys so I hope she likes them.
Alison is starting to kiss alot. It's so sweet. You give her a bite of food and in exchange she gives you a kiss ;) She saw her reflection in the refigerator the other day and I guess she thought she looked like she deserved a kiss because she leaned into the girl on the fridge door and gave herself a kiss!!! It was soooo cute!!!
Alison sure does love her squeaky shoes too! She brings them to us and wants us to put them on her. She'll then get down and run around squeaking her little feet and just grinning!!

Been a while again!!
Okay, so it's been a while..again since I've posted!!
There are always new things with Alison to post. It's amazing to me how much they learn so quickly!
Alison has figured out a tricky way to get toys back from her cousin Landon when he steals them from her. She simply gets another toy, takes it over to him and he snatches it since he thinks she wants it and drops her original toy of preference...in which she picks up and walks off all smug!
Ali has also learned a new laugh that she thinks is pretty darn funny. She breathes in heavy while making a funyn noise. It's pretty cute. ;) (isn't everything she does just too cute?)
She loves her squeaky shoes and will stomp whenever you put shoes on her so that she can see if they squeak or not.
We went to her BFF's house last weekend and Ali had such a good time. They climbed into a milk crate together and then got stuck. Too cute!
I'll try to post more often. It's hectic around here....

Haven't posted in a while
So, it's been a while since I've posted....
Alison has been very busy learning and walking and climbing on everything!! She loves her little sit on toys that she can push. She has a few that make noise and that just intriques her right now. She is walking like a champ of course. Not talking much yet at this point though. She has mastered the word "UP".
I think she is starting to be scared of the vacuum cleaner. She has always loved the vacuum but this morning she wanted held while I ran it and once I turned it off she was perfectly happy to get back on the floor and play.
Alison had her first birthday recently. How sad that my little girl is getting so big! At her one year doc's visit she was 17lbs 9oz and 29 inches long. Still a petite thing but finally putting on some real weight! We tried to break her paci but it just didn't work out so we'll try again next month.
Any other news..... not that I can think of. Just following Alison around and seeing to it that she doesn't hurt herself with all her exploring. She sure is a curious little thing!
Next week is Thanksgiving and I can't wait for Ali to meet her cousins for the first time! She was too young to make the trip last year so this should be exciting!

teeth
Alison's top tooth FINALLY broke through. We've been working on that tooth off and on for about 2 months now. I am so glad it's finally through. She has 3, maybe 5 teeth sitting waiting to start moving in so I guess it's on to the next one now!!
Alijean is also starting to walk quite a bit too. She doesn't get too far before she topples over but she is trying! She did take a whopping 28 steps the other day :D she is getting so big!
She has this white plastic bucket that we keep her beads in and she emptied it and so her daddy held the bucket up to his mouth and yelled into it making a funny sound. I guess she liked this because she took the bucket and did the same thing...and then she wouldn't stop!
biggest loser update... BLAH! I cannot stay on track :( I won't be winning this season. I have lost some weight so that was the REAL goal. Now I just need to keep going and slowly lose this weight. Maybe if I do it slow I can keep it off????

Biggest Loser
So, I feel like I should be losing more...but that's okay. It's coming off, just very slowly and I do already feel better since I'm putting all that crap into my body. Starting today I'm going to attempt to wean off of caffiene. I drink way too much of it so.... one Diet Mt Dew a day for me. Once I am used to that I'll think about cutting that back.
Alison is now braving taking steps on her own. Before we had to "trick" her to get her to walk and now she does it on her own. She can get only about 2 maybe 3 steps before she topples over but the fact that she is trying is a big deal!! She's being brave...that's got to be scary for a little kid. She is growing this new "attitude" also. She has a very very shrill, painful scream she does when she wants something and then she'll just sit and stare at you like as if to say "if you don't do it I'm going to scream again".
I've noticed her Daddy's chin coming out in her too. Every here and there I'll catch a glimpse of her and there is Ben's chin. Her Grandma Reynolds says she thinks she is getting Ben's nose also. She's got my eye color...Ben's hair color (so far, I know these things can change). She seems to have Ben's sense of humor!! She laughs all the time, and THIS of course is a good thing ;)

Nothing too exciting to report
Nothing real exciting to report today.
Alison is still a bit weary of this whole standing and walking thing so we've gotten no further than we were 2 weeks ago. But that is okay ;) She will walk in her own time and THEN I can put dresses on her cute little butt ;)
The holidays are fast approaching. AND I cannot believe my little girl is going to be a whole year old already. Where did it go? I can barely remmeber just a few months ago, let alone remember much of when she was a newborn. Everyone told me that it would fly and to enjoy it while it lasted...and not that I didn't believe them but I never imagined it could go this quickly. And how being so sleep deprived makes you forget most of it. I did do a bit of journaling, but there is alot more stuff I want to write down. Maybe I'll take the time this weekend and get some of that done. I have "milestones" and interesting tidbits to add to her calendar so I better do that before I forget them.
Biggest Loser here at work is going well. I have lost 10.5 pounds to date (it started 3 weeks ago) so I am halfway to my goal of 20. I'll set another small goal once the first 20 is off ;)

Steps??
So, on Friday Alison took two steps! It was an accident, she wasn't trying, but she did it!! Grandma had some macaroni and cheese that Ali wanted more of so I was holding her hands so she could walk and I let go and she kept going for two steps before she realized I let go and she fell down. she might not of falled down except Grandma and Mommy bothed screamed in excitement over her first steps that we kind of freaked her out!! She hasn't done it again but I'm sure she will soon!!
Our trip to the zoo Saturday went great!! The weather held out and we had no rain at all!! Both sets of Grandparents were there along with some friends and some other family members. Alison took a little nap so she missed out on a few things but that's okay, she's got lots of zoo time left in her life ;) We got to pet the sharks (AliJ did not pet the sharks, but she looked at them anyway).
Nothing else real exciting has been going on. Just the normal stuff. I have an event again this coming weekend with Discovery toys and I am debating whether I want to work the next weekend or not. I think I need to take the weekend off and get some stuff done around the house and spend some good quality time with Alijean. Of course when I'm gone, she gets good time with Daddy, so it's not a total bad thing. I need to make her some more food, she is running low. I am trying to come up with new stuff for her eat so she's not eating the same old boring stuff day after day. Yesterday I made her brown rice with squash.....we'll see how that goes over!

Hump day!
Weather is not looking so hot for Saturday's trip to the zoo :( that makes me sad :( :(
Alison is doing fabulous as usual. She does new, funny things daily now. She never ceases to amaze me!!
I am at work right now, taking a breather. I haven't even seen my boss yet today, which might be a good thing. He's been in a bad mood for a while now.
My diet is going really good so far! I have lost 6 pounds already! I just hope I can keep up the momentum. I know it'll slow here soon but the longer they pounds just drop off, the better! LOL I am going walking tonight with my friend Mindy from here at work and her baby Isabella (who took her first steps yesterday at not quite 9 months old!) I think I will be getting ..... no I won't, I forget they closed the one in the mall. I wanted a chic fil a chargrilled sandwich because they are not all that unhealthy but we'll be at the mall and chic fil a was being redone last time I was in there.

what a weekend!
This has been an interesting weekend. I was excited about my first demo today for Discovery Toys and the only people that showed were the hostess and her sister...and me. SO, not one single solitary sale happened :( I mean, no biggie, but I was excited. Oh well...on to the next demo. Maybe it will go better.
I did an event with Discovery Toys Saturday afternoon (Penrod Art Festival) and I actually signed a consultant so that was exciting! She is my first one!! You win some, you lose some.
Alison is just so precious. :( I hate Sundays because I know I have to go back to work the next day. I hate missing any time with her because I know I can never get it back. I know it's good for her to be away from momma sometimes and probably good for me too but Sundays are just no fun.
Well, this coming Saturday is zoo day....I'm quite excited! I hope the weather is nice and doesn't rain. I want AliJ to see all the animals!! I'll post some pics after we go. Then I have another demo on Sunday...so again...wish me luck!

Foul Mood
So, for whatever reason, I am in a FOUL mood today! I hate days like this. I'm hoping that once the morning passes and more people show up here at work that my mood will improve. Not sure what is wrong, I'm just annoyed!!!
Alison waved bye bye this morning to her daddy and she even tried to say bye bye! How cute. I wish I could have seen it. She has also taken to shaking her head no..which is so stinkin cute because her whole little body shakes along with it! I *think* she is trying to say binky now too. It's not real clear but it seems as though she is trying to say it.
Tonight we are going out for hot wings for Ben's birthday. Don't know yet which wing place we will go to but we'll go somewhere. It should be interesting..me trying to eat wings and take care of Ali at the same time.... I suppose I'll figure it out... I always do. Of course biggest loser starts today so I'll be starting off cheating!! Mindy is in biggest loser too and she is going with us so I guess we'll be cheating together!

just a quick note
Just a quick hello! there is nothing real exciting going on. Still waiting on those next teeth to finally break through so they'll stop bothering Ali. She's been rubbing her ear again and not sleeping well so I can only assume that her teeth are bothering her again.
I'm a mean mean mommy...I let her fall yesterday and smack her head HARD on the linoleum floor :( she cried and I felt sooo terrible! I let her stay up a little late from bed to make up for it.
I had to wait on mom this morning because Ben wasn't home to stay with Ali.... well Ali got up at 5 and then again at 6 so I got to see her before work. It makes leaving for work so stinkin hard when she is awake!! I looooove to see her before work but it makes me miss her that much more! she's a little piggy too...she nursed at 5 and at 6 and then when mom got there she had a bottle! oink oink!
Biggest Loser starts here at work tomorrow. It runs for 8 weeks this time and I intend to win. I didn't do very good last time (I got like 6th place so not that shabby actually) anyway, I did good at the beginning and then I lost steam. however, I plan on winning and getting my cholesterol down SO, those in Fort Wayne, the next time you see me there will hopefully be less to see!!!
I better get some work done now....will chat again soon I'm sure ;)

Fevers.....
So, Wednesday AliJ woke up with a fever. It ended up not going away until Saturday afternoon. She is taking a while to get back to her happy, smiling normal self. She is getting there, but slowly. She got a light rash starting yesterday but it's not too bad. I'm just hoping she gets back to being herself!! She is also SOOOO close to breaking through those top 4 teeth. I wish they would just come through already!! I know they are bothering her :(
I had 4 days off of work and man was it nice!! I got some rest...Ali actually slept in late for me. Until 8:00!!! Being that I usually get up at 4:30 every morning, 8 was heaven!!
So, something I'm not real clear on..... do I still have a temper? I really thought I was doing good keeping any anger at bay. Even times when I think I *should* be really mad or upset about things, I just don't get mad like I used to, or even at all really. So, why is it that lately it's been brought up? hmmm, maybe I was wrong and I'm still a crazed lunatic??
This weekend is my first actual in home demo for Discovery Toys. Looking forward to that! I have also a Discovery Toys event to do Saturday... that will be about 4 hours but it should be fun. I enjoy watching the kids play cause they have fun!

GRRRR
I know he didn't know, but some guy jsut came to the house to drop something off for me and he ended up waking Ali from her nap. ARGH! My dogs are so loud when they bark and it wakes up Ali now :(
and on a brighter note, the toys I bought for Ali from Discovery Toys with my $50 free prduct coupon, will be here tomorrow!! (I don't remember what I got her though)....hmmm, what DID I get??? I know I got the working trio dumptrucks....OH, one of them is a Christmas present cause she needs to be good at walking to use it and that is a light up ladybug. the th...AH, the sunshine market. it's a shape sorter type of toy. I don't know if she'll like it right now or not so I might leave it for Christmas.

Poor Alijean!
Alijean is not feeling well. It started yesterday with a low grade fever of 100.5. She took motrin for the fever and for what I originally thought was just teething pain. I talked to her doctor because he saw her on Monday and said if she gets a fever he wanted to see her. We decided together that with a temp less than 101 that it was probably just teething and to keep an eye on her. If temp got to 101 or higher he would want to see her. Well, about 7 last night her fever jumped up to 102 :( Her doc is out today so if it's still high this morning or if it gets high again today I'm not sure how I'll handle it. she had another BAD night in bed. she was up off and on until about 1:30am. Poor thing! Her fever had come down (don't know if it came down on it's own or if the motrin/tylenol combo worked) to 100.6 which is acceptable. But she was just crying and antsy. I think she was just so tired that she couldn't get back to sleep. I woke her a few times prior to that so I could be sure her temp was coming down and not getting higher. So, now I'm waiting for mom to let me know that she's up and what her temp is.
things are going good otherwise! I'm going to try to get a sign up about the mustang so we can try to sell it. I have tomorrow off also and Monday is a holiday so I officially get a 4 day weekend to spend with my baby AND my husband should hopefully be home too! I haven't seen him all week because he's been so busy with work so that'll be nice too!

tuesday, august 26th, 7:30am....
So, I'm very tired again today. Alijean decided it would be a good idea to wake at 1:00 in the morning. Daddy tried to help but Ali wasn't having it. She didn't need fed, she didn't need motrin...she just wanted mommy I guess.... I was already tired so today is a killer!
Today is not going to be a good day here at work either. On Friday we screwed up a job royal and it was discovered yesterday. Well, my boss was out so I haven't gotten yelled at yet. I didn't really have my hands on this job so there wasn't a whole whole lot I could do but being lead operator I suppose it's my who'll get dinged first.
I'm excited, only a couple more weeks until we take the babies to the zoo! I need to get everyone's money together and get tickets bought. So far both my parents and Ben's parents are coming along :D I am excited to see Ali's reaction (if any) to the animals. The only problem with taking her Grandparents is that they are going to want to hold her and I'm kinda a baby hog! LOL. Christmas feels like it's quickly approaching. I've been asked for Christmas lists already and I honestly haven't even thought about it. I can't decide what to get for the babies this year either. It's getting more expensive as the time goes cause people keep having babies!! Well, I think I know what we are getting Carley.......

SOOOO tired!
6:21 am Monday morning (August 25th, 08). I am so stinking tired!! We ended up not leaving Fort Wayne until about 8:30 Sunday night and so it was after 11 when we got home. then I had to get everything ready for Alijean and mom for today. I hope I didn't forget anything as I was awful tired. Anyway, then I had to be up at 4:30 this morning so I had a short night of sleep!
Our visit to Fort Wayne was really nice. Alison got to meet a bunch of people she has never met before and got to see some family members she hasn't seen a couple months. SO, that was real nice. We got to see Carley and Colton again. Carley is growing so quickly! She is almost caught up with Alison as far as size!! GO CARLEY!!
Not a whole lot going on this week! YAY. It's been so hectic around my house lately that it'll be a nice change from the usual. I need to do house cleaning and organizing but I can do that for about an hour each night and hopefully get somewhere. I need to pack some stuff away and store it somewhere.
Alison smacks her lips when she eats. My mom is just beside herself tickled about how cute it is when she does it. (I find it awful cute myself but right now that is mom's favorite thing that Ali does I think!) Ali stood on her own for....I think her daddy said about 20 seconds....over the weekend too. she did it a couple times but not quite that long each time. OH, and she said doggy! it was really cute and she said it numerous times too. Way to stinkin cute!!
Alright, off to get some work done I go. Not terribly busy today but being so tired I should keep busy so as not to let the sleepies get me!

My first blog!
Well, I am officially starting my first blog! It's August 22, 2008 7:13 a.m. and I am at work and bored out of my gore! I was reading my friend Leah's blog and thought it sounded like a good idea!
I've done nothing but read emails and write emails and think about my daughter today. We are taking her to Fort Wayne this weekend to visit her Grandparents. She isn't old enough yet to know that she should be excited though.....
Lately I've been soooo sappy whenever I hear about people delivering their babies. At the time of Alison's delivery I wasn't all that sappy....it was a little too surreal I think for me to feel that way. But now when I talk to people about delivery I get all warm and fuzzy inside and want to go back to that very first time I saw her. I still question to this day how Ben and I made such a perfect perfect little creature. She is my world and I didn't know it was possible to love someone so much. And everyday I think that and I wake the next day loving her even more. She is perfect in every way. I just wish her growing up would slow down! She learns so much everyday. I do wish she would learn to walk. I have lots of clothes I would love to buy her and dress her in but I can't until she learns to walk. I think it will be a while though as she in not intersted at all in standing on her own or walking while you hold her hand. She walks behind her hippo walker and she thinks she is hot s*it while she is doing it but seems perfectly content with just crawling everywhere!! (she is of course, cute as a button when she is crawling too! )
Well I suppose this is it for my first blog! I'm a talker so I'm sure there will be new posts added often!
